Approach
Development
To be your best, you need a safe space to reflect and deepen your understanding of yourself as a leader, a colleague, and a person. Coach-guided insight challenges and assists you to develop this self-awareness. From there a coaching program is developed, based on your unique insights, developmental goals, context, and capabilities.
Impact
With a strong focus on impact and results, you are supported to improve your leadership effectiveness and business performance. Kate draws upon her personal experience in large corporations and study of coaching and leadership to do this. As you evolve you move toward a more successful, satisfying career and life, within your workplace and beyond.
Leadership
Leadership opportunities exist in every moment, in every exchange, every day, for all of us. Regardless of whether you are a seasoned executive with years of experience, or an emerging leader, building your leadership capability not only improves your effectiveness and performance, but also enriches the experience for you and everyone around you.
How it works
-
Kate applies a strengths-based, results-focused approach to coaching and follows International Coaching Federation (ICF) methodology. Each program is tailored to your individual needs therefore each program is different. The coaching incorporates various best-practice assessments, methodologies, models, frameworks, and tools. All are practical, evidence-based, and highly reputable.
Kate can work within any existing internal framework adopted by your organization, such as leadership frameworks, KPIs, vision/mission statements etc and may consider existing appraisal data such as peer and performance reviews, scorecards etc.
-
You play an active role in a successful coaching relationship. You are in the driver’s seat and have free agency for all decisions relating to goals and future actions. Kate will support, challenge and guide, but it is your responsibility to bring about meaningful change in thoughts and behaviours. Some homework may be required between sessions eg reflection, reading, completing diagnostic tools etc. Goals and success measures will be set and regularly reviewed for the program overall, and for each session individually.
The following attributes and attitude will ensure you get the most out of the coaching experience; willingness to self-reflect honestly, ability to commit time and energy, self-responsibility, accountability and openness to new learnings and challenges.
As your capabilities, behaviour and values evolve and become more aligned with your professional goals, your confidence, energy, and satisfaction build, benefiting you, your team, and your entire organization.
-
Sometimes, where appropriate, a manager or sponsor may be involved in the process, depending upon the goals and scope of the program, and your preference. If so, 3-way meetings will occasionally be held with them. Sometimes involvement with peers, colleagues or other stakeholders may also be incorporated into the program. (Note: client confidentiality is paramount. No information will ever be shared without your express permission).
-
Pre-Coaching Introductory Session
In a free, no-obligation 30 minute meeting you will have the opportunity to meet Kate, learn more about coaching, and determine whether you’d like to proceed.
Needs Analysis
Information is gathered on the coaching needs and context to define the scope of the program. If a sponsor is involved, they will be consulted as part of this process. This incorporates a written questionnaire and 1 or 2 meetings.
Coaching Agreement
A proposed Coaching Agreement will be presented covering specifics, such as coaching goals, tools and assessments to be applied, number of sessions, timing, reporting requirements, fees etc. All roles and responsibilities will be clearly defined, including how success will be measured.
Coaching Sessions
Coaching sessions are tailored to your unique requirements. Kate may provide written summaries for you to reflect upon. The number of sessions varies but is usually 6+ sessions. Timing between sessions also varies but is usually 10 – 14 days.
